Together with the collective Sangre de mi Sangre | Francia, the women of Marseille came together to work on a collective woven piece. ‘Sangre de mi Sangre’ is a participatory artistic action organised by the Colectiva Hilos. Their artivism consists of the co-creation of a large red fabric as a metaphor and protest against the bloodshed caused by femicides and disappearances in the state of Jalisco and throughout Mexico.

The initiative has spread around the world and aims to continue to raise awareness of the oppression and violence suffered by women. In 2024, the piece created in Marseille was a central element in our artivist performance Simawe | See My Way, where we honoured the testimonials of different victims of domestic, institutional and structural violence from the Tribunal in 1976.
