Sangre de mi Sangre

Weaving workshop by Collectiva Hilos

Sangre de mi Sangre, is a participatory artivist intervention that invites participants to co‑create a large red fabric. The weaving is a symbolic act against the bloodshed of femicides and disappearances in Mexico and the ongoing violence faced by women worldwide. The initiative has grown internationally, becoming a living testimony of solidarity and refusal to forget.

Through the simple, communal act of weaving, participants hold space for shared stories, honour the lives of women lost to gender‑based violence, and strengthen a collective call for justice. In 2024, the piece created by the group from Marseille became part of the 2026WOMEN performance Simawe | See My Way, amplifying the voices of women who testified against domestic, institutional, and structural violence.

Your language, your power

Poetry workshop by Rebelle

Rebelle vzw brings gender and well-being closer together by strengthening the voice of women* in society. In this way, we give words to people who are not heard enough. Because language is a powerful medium for connecting and expressing your world.

During this poetry workshop, we will search together for language to express what is going on inside. No difficult rules or big words – just you, your pen, and space to feel and write. We offer accessible methods for playing with words and converting emotions into visual language. Develop your own voice in poems and texts about themes that are close to your heart.

Slogans with impact

DIY stand by Rebelle

Visit the Rebelle vzw participatory stand to get involved and dive into the fight for gender equality. Share experiences with other participants, discuss inequality and turn your feelings and thoughts into slogans that resonate. Afterwards, bring them to life on canvas – ready to show your message to the world!

Cards with provocative questions and statements serve as conversation starters for sharing experiences, then design your own slogan and put it on canvas. The slogan canvases – in multiple languages – will then be used during the 2026WOMEN Tribunal public ceremony on the Saturday 28th at 19h (see info below).

Unmasking Patriarchal Mythology

Writing workshop by the Kurdish Women’s Movement in Europe (TJK-E) and the Jineology Centre

The origins of patriarchy are reflected in ancient mythological stories. At the same time – even if hidden – they represent an important source of women’s resistance history. Of significant importance thereby is how we read and interpret these stories, which are not just fairy tales but reflect realities in a covert and indirect way.

The aim of this workshop is to rethink and analyse mythological stories with a critical eye from a women’s perspective, uncovering patriarchal and misogynist rhetoric. Ancient mythological stories from Mesopotamia and Greek civilizations will be read and analyzed in relation to their patriarchal and misogynist content. Participants will re-narrate the stories from a feminist perspective, re-tell it in their way and be given the opportunity to make short theatrical performances if they wish.

TAZ (Talent Aan Zet)

Psychophysical workshop by Zoë Parys & Kras Jeugdwerk

TAZ is a psychophysical and educational training session highly relevant for women. The name comes from youth slang and expresses mild annoyance — something like “geez!” or “come on!” — but always with a smile and a sense of perspective.

That’s exactly what TAZ teaches: dealing consciously with challenges, giving space to emotions, and focusing on how to respond rather than react. You can’t always choose what happens to you, but you can choose how you deal with it.

Participants will explore who they are, what they can do, and what they want — both individually and in relation to others — through a combination of Thai boxing and mindfulness. By working on self-knowledge, self-confidence, and self-regulation, they strengthen their resilience and engagement with their environment. The key themes are ownership, empowerment, and connection.

Feminist ARTivism: Experiences, Practices and Tools

Exchange circle hosted by OtraTierra & Madam Fortuna

An informal and inspiring exchange dedicated to ARTivist practices that address gender (in)equality and violence against women. We welcome individuals, collectives, and organisations working with (or curious about) feminist ARTivism. Participants are encouraged to bring texts, images, or materials from their own ARTivist actions or projects to share with the group. These can be works-in-progress, documentation, or anything that helps spark dialogue and imagination.

During the session, we will share ongoing activities, actions, and methodologies; learn from each other’s practices and challenges; explore tools that strengthen feminist ARTivism; and build connections across languages, contexts, and artistic approaches. Whether you are engaged in community projects, creative interventions in public space, performance, visual arts, storytelling, or any other form of artistic activism, your voice and experience are part of this conversation.
